What's Your Guilty Pleasure?

| | Comments (27)
We all have them, and in this episode of Momversation I ask the ladies to share theirs. I'll let it speak for itself. I also may or may not rap/sing/gawdi'msowhite Emenim in this video as an unintentionally frightening serenade to Giyen.

I showed you my can of Stag, you can at least tell me in the comments that you read like, People mag or something. What's your guilty pleasure? Do you listen to Nickelback? Watch "The Hills?" I'm all open and vulnerable here!

Okay, I secretly like Eminem. I love "Shake That Ass". I love to collect all my loose change and go to Starbuck's and pay for my caramel frappuccino with $4 in change. And I love to have a Colorado Bulldog or two and indulge in uncomfortable conversations with the "politically ignorant".

Staying up late with oreo cookies and milk, watching all the t.v. I can, since that is the only time I can be the remote-master.

You crack me up. I love to eat a plate full of cheese and proscuitto that would feed an army... all by myself. I devour bad legal fiction. And I dance and sing in my apartment to Gold & Platinum Hits of the 80's: Volume 2.

Love Nickelback and Maroon 5. Hubby calls them chick bands...so embarrassing. Also addicted to video game Oblivion.

My guilty pleasure?

I'm a 31 (almost 32 - 20 more days!) year old single heterosexual male, who is addicted to reading 2 mommy blogs.

But it's days like today, when I get to see Dana busting out the Eminem that makes it more pleasure, less guilty! :)

Okay so I really get annoyed with Hannah Montana stuff..since its everywhere...BUTTTT
Totally going to see that movie about her coming out...and I really like her songs..they are catchy! haha

I like Nickelback and Maroon 5 too... I didn't know that was bad. Let's see ... my guilty pleasures... I'm 33 and think Skechers are FABULOUS. I love (with puffy hearts and glitter) The Ghost Whisperer. I know it's the worst show on TV, and I'm totally fine with that. I still think cookie dough tastes awesome.

I can't get my 4-year-old daughter into "High School Musical" but I love it. LOVE it.

Meat Loaf. The singer, not the meal. I have adored his albums since college, and I still buy the newest ones. The kids have gotten used to hearing "Testify" and "Mercury Blues" play in the kitchen while I get their lunch ready. I have all three of the Bat out of Hell CDs. The first one is still the best.

I still have to get the CDs Dead Ringer and Welcome to the Neighborhood. And perhaps a live CD as well.

I also love driving alone. No kids, no husband. Just me and my tunes.

Also, America's Next Top Model is a definite guilty pleasure. Even more so when I watch it during naptime.

My love going to movies alone for those exact same reasons. My baby isn't wanting to nurse just because they saw me walk by, no kids are asking me questions are wanting to tell me why this particular Lego piece is the best piece ever created.

I also love trash TV. I love 90210. I know that's awful but I can't help it. I also love action movies. The worse the plot is then the better the action is, almost always. I love watching the crazy, no stunt men, no wires, no CGI stuff. Like Tony Jaa and David Belle.

Oh, and Dr Pepper. I love me some Dr Pepper!

I love being home alone to do whatever pleases me.(even if it's just turning up the heat)Driving through for a frozen caramel, no whip cream.

Mine are:

Chic-fil-A. I would eat there EVERY.DAY.OF.MY.LIFE if I could. (let's be honest, some weeks I do)

People magazine. My husband calls it my 'trash mag'. I can't go without it. I also love gossip sites online.

Miley Cyrus. I sing right along with my 7 year old daughter AND we will be going to see the movie.

Two hour naps in the middle of the day when people think I'm at home working, especially my husband. Ha.

Coffee. 'Nuf said.

Dog the Bounty Hunter. Yeah, that one's just sad.

I cannot believe I forgot it. I immediately got distracted as soon as I typed 'chic-fil-a'.

Court TV. Especially Judge Judy.

OMG, you're hilarious!! I love Eminem(SO glad he's coming back!), and(at 26)I totally watch the Hills...even though I hate to admit it, I love that show! Hmm...what other guilty pleasures can I admit to..? I think Food is another one for me...I would rather skip lunch and eat ice cream or cake or cookies instead. I'm totally all about the sweets!

I have a crush on Eminem but you didn't hear that from me. I also watch Rock of Love, but that's our little secret.

Facebook stalking. Especially wedding pictures. Even of people I barely know.

Chick lit and chick flicks.

Sometimes I eat Oreos and tortilla chips for breakfast if my husband's not around.

I listen to KISS FM (top 40 pop hits) on the radio way more that I'd like to admit.

Greek! The only show I actually watch every week.

Too lazy to sign in, but it's THE Christine :)

All I can say is, if listening to Eminem (or Dr. Dre, or any of what I listen to the rare time I am alone and don't turn on am radio) is a guilty pleasure that I should be keeping secret, WHOOOOOOOOA boy.

But then, I am from Detroit.

Romance novels...especially Nora Roberts. Chick flicks like 27 Dresses, 13 Going on 30, You've Got Mail...well, you get the picture ;o) Food Network--all day long!! CSI reruns...all day long ;o) A hot cup of coffee, and no one awake but me in the mornings. Driving my car when no one is with me and the music turned up loud ;o)

All Harlequin Romances!!! Need more?! ;-)

Pepsi and Nacho Cheese Doritos. Survivor on TV. Yeah, I know, but I love watching the people get all snarky, arrogant, etc. thinking they're untouchable right before they get booted off. Harry Potter, books and movies. If one is on TV, I can't pass it up. And, sadly, I've caught myself sitting down to watch The Wizards of Waverly Place with my daughter and actually paying attention. And "Sk8ter Boi" from Avril Lavigne. I should be ashamed. Blame it on my daughter :)

My guilty pleasure-video games and reading the news. My gf's though-bad romance novels and the Twilight Series.

I can confirm, it does get old hearing how dreamy Edward is. Blech!

-Soap Operas when I'm home during the day.
-Professional Manicures
-Biggest Loser (I am totally Jillian-just ask my husband!)
-LOUD Rock 'n' Roll-very, very loud 80's hairband rock-all of it.

I think I may have you all beat. I have my children (ages 11, 8, and 6) hooked on ABBA Gold. They love it when I play that cd, and we all dance around the house singing "Momma Mia" at the top of our lungs...

Okay this is just between us right?

Maroon 5 and Rihanna and an occasional Britney Spears dance song. I find that really hard to admit since I am a music snob who hates fm radio. Especially top 40.

Gossip Girl, and Jon and Kate plus 8.

Also I am a 25 year old straight woman who LURVES Top Gear and Myth busters. Yeah I know.

Turning up show tunes and singing/dancing when my husband isn't home.

Caramel apple empanadas from taco bell, pizza rolls and smart food cheesy popcorn.

I love having the house to myself, driving and singing at the top of my lungs (Kid Rock to Metallica to Def Leppard). I love Chick flicks and teen movies and cheesy books too. Oh, and guitar hero.

As for tv, the Food Network, TMZ and the Biggest Loser. (I love to watch Rachel Ray cook while I am ordering a pizza or making hamburger helper).

Rescue Me (I own all the seasons on DVD) and Rock of Love - PURE trash...home popped popcorn drenched in real butter, parmesan cheese and carribean jerk spice. Oh yeah, and a Guinness...a real one, not the foamy draught crap. Oh my, I yearn...

I love Style TV... Clean House especially. Even my husband enjoys it. I think it's just nice to see people in more chaos than we are.

I also love to stay up after everyone has gone to bed hogging the remote and the junk food.
